As part of Daniela Cascella and Lucia Farinati's ongoing Sound Threshold research project exploring relationships between site and sound, artist Pedro Lasch is presenting a listening session of John Cage's 1977 composition of manipulated words and syllables, Empty Words, along with overlapping audio recordings, texts or ‘sound gestures’ brought by specifically invited individuals. B.O.B is the first solo exhibition by Invernomuto, the Italian audio-visual group which also runs the online ffwd_mag. The exhibition is at Milan’s Galleria Patricia Armocida from 8 April, and the group has posted two video trailers for the show here:

Subtitled Composer, Architect, Visionary, this exhibition is the first in North America dedicated to Xenakis’s original works 
on paper, including his scores, architectural drawings, conceptual renderings and 
more, dating from 1953–84. New York The Drawing Center, to 8 April.

An exhibition from the collection of British publisher and curator Guy Schraenen of records and covers of almost 800 albums alongside cassettes, CDs, specialist magazines, reference books, catalogues and artworks from the 1920s onwards. Works included by Jean Dubuffet, Dieter Roth, Joseph Beuys, William S Burroughs, Yves Klein, Roman Opalka, Hermann Nitsch, Tom Wesselmann, Karel Appel and more. Visitors can listen to every record. The first in a monthly series of salon-type evenings hosted by The Wire at East London’s Cafe Oto venue. For this opening event, Mark Fisher (K-Punk) heads a panel debating the uncanny quality of so much contemporary audio, from spectral disco to dubstep, Hypnagogic pop and beyond. The night will also include screenings of films by Julian House (Ghost Box, The Focus Group) plus DJ Mordant Music. London Cafe Oto, 1 April, 8pm, £4.
